The National Safari Outdoor/SA Hunters Interbranch Team Shooting Championship was held on Friday, 16 August 2024 at the CMH Sport Shooters Retreat shooting range. The event was hosted by the Suikerbosrand Branch and sponsored by Safari Outdoor. It was a well-organised event and participants achieved excellent scores. Conditions were favourable, with relatively high temperatures and a light wind. The Baviaanspoort Buffels won the event with a score of 2600.48/2880. It was also the only team to qualify for the national Wild Dogs Award with a minimum score of 2590/2880 and at least 1225/1440 per shooting exercise. Safari Outdoor’s sponsorship of R50 000 covered the gift vouchers for all the prize winners. A further sponsorship worth approximately R90 000 comprised scopes, binoculars, and range finders as prizes in the lucky draws.
