The SA Hunters/Browning Northern Shotgun Championship took place on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at the Daniëlsrus shooting range near Krugersdorp. The Pretoria East branch hosted the event. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain preceded the day. Just after five o’clock on the morning of the event, there was a light shower, but fortunately, the sun came out again ten minutes later. Shooters were able to compete on a particularly beautiful summer’s day to determine the winner of the Northern Shotgun Championship.
The scores from the northern and southern events were combined to determine the national champion and national class winners. Congratulations to all the winners. Thank you for the good spirit and attitude with which you participated.

Award Ceremony Southern Shotgun Championships 2025
André Pienaar, with his excellent score of 87/100 clays, won SA Hunters’ first Southern Shotgun Championship, held on 6 September 2025 at the Outeniqua Clay Pigeon Club. With this achievement, he also earned SA Hunters’ national shotgun colours. The Tuinroete Branch hosted this successful milestone event, which was attended by 28 shooters from the Tuinroete, Overberg, Table Mountain, and West Coast branches.
