AWCF 2023 – Samewerking in Suider-Afrika om Verantwoordelike Jag te Bevorder

SA Hunters and other organisations and professional hunting associations in Africa participated in the annual African Wildlife Consultative Forum (AWCF) recently held in Windhoek, Namibia.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the conservation of wildlife, sustainable benefits, and to improve the lives of people in Africa. AWCF focuses on African solutions to Africa-specific conservation issues. This is an African initiative to resolve the continent’s problems. AWCF was established in 2002 and has grown by leaps and bounds thanks to the concerted efforts of its members to protect hunting in all participating countries.

SA Hunters became part of AWCF in 2019 to contribute to the objectives of AWCF and to build relationships with other relevant organisations and countries in Africa and abroad with whom we can join hands in promoting sustainable conservation and repositioning hunting in terms of its contribution to food security, rural economic development, conservation, and a means to improve the well-being of Africa’s people.

AWCF – 2023

US Fish and Wildlife Services.
