Photochallenge Nov/Dec/Jan #contrast

  • kamera of slimfoon handelsmerk/model

Vir meer inligting, kontak Marette by 082 553 4719 (kantoor ure) of stuur ‘n e-pos na marette@sahunt.co.za

Die opvolgende foto-uitdaging se tema is:

Februarie/Maart: Bome, blomme, gras en vetplante in Suider-Afrika

November/December/January: Contrast, colour and texture in nature #contrast.

Our next theme offers a wide interpretation. It includes mountains, hills and rocks; animal skin or coats; birds’ feathers; reptile scales and patterns; bark from trees; and plants with thorns. Because the photo challenge stretches over three months, the variety this theme offers will ensure that we do not get bored. It also gives members ample time during the summer holiday to take photographs that suit the theme. Everyone stands a chance to submit a winning photograph, whether it is taken with DSLR/ML cameras or with mobile phones.

The rules for the photo challenge are simple:

  1. Any photo that represents the theme as described above.
  2. One photo per submission.
  3. No limit on the number of submissions per member.
  4. Participants must be members of SA Hunters and/or the SA Hunters Photography Club.
  5. Participants can only submit photographs they have taken themselves.
  6. Tag the photo #contrast (so the admin can easily find it at the end of the month).
  7. Entries must include the following:
  • Caption/title of your photo
  • Location where the photo was taken
  • When the photo was taken
  • Camera or smartphone brand/model
  • Camera settings (F-stop, ISO, shutter speed) but not for smartphones.

At the end of January 2024, the group’s admin will select the best photos that were shared on the Facebook group page and via e-mail. The photos will be featured in a gallery on the group’s Facebook page and on the SA Hunters website. Members will vote for the winner through the Facebook page. The winner will be announced in February 2024 and will receive a beautiful book prize sponsored by SA Hunters.

Members who do not have a Facebook profile can email entries to sahuntphoto@gmail.com with #contrast in the subject line.

For more information, contact Marette on 082 553 4719 (office hours) or send an email to marette@sahunt.co.za

The theme for the following two photo challenge is as follows:

February/March: Trees, flowers, grass and succulents in Southern Africa #fauna
