- kamera of slimfoon handelsmerk/model
The theme for the September/October 2023 photo challenge is: Utilise nature #utilise #photochallenge
This theme allows for a broad interpretation and includes activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, hunting (excluding hunted animals), on the farm, a selfie anywhere in nature, etc. Anything where people make use of nature in a responsible way. Photographs that include people are always better, but it’s not a requirement.
The rules for the photo challenge are simple:
- Any photo that represents the theme as described above.
- One photo per submission.
- No limit on the number of submissions per member.
- Participants must be members of SA Hunters and/or the SA Hunters Photography Club.
- Participants can only submit photographs they have taken themselves.
- Tag the photo #utilise (so the admin can easily find it at the end of the month).
- Entries can also be sent by e-mail to sahuntphoto@gmail.com
- Entries must include the following:
- Caption/title of your photo
- Location where the photo was taken
- When the photo was taken
- Camera or smartphone brand/model
- Camera settings (F-stop, ISO, shutter speed) but not for smartphones.
At the end of October, the group’s admin will select the best photos that were shared on the Facebook group page and via e-mail. The photos will be featured in a gallery on the group’s Facebook page and on the SA Hunters website. Members will vote for the winner through the Facebook page. The winner will be announced in November and will receive a beautiful book prize sponsored by SA Hunters.
The themes for the following two photo challenges are as follows:
- November/December/January: Contrast, colour, and texture in nature
- February/March: Trees, flowers, and succulents in nature
(Members who participated in the July survey will notice that the admin has combined some of the options and suggestions for the next three themes.)
