The Vice President Hunting Affairs of SA Hunters and Game Conservation Association: Dave Hayter, and conservation manager Lizanne Nel, attended the annual WCF organised by Safari Club International Foundation in September to engage with relevant role players in Africa on the responsible management of wildlife in Africa. SA Hunters actively participated in debates on crucial matters like wildlife trade, social acceptance of hunting in Africa, the wildlife economy, community involvement, and African approaches to conservation. This year’s event was once again more than a gathering; it was an opportunity to reaffirm our shared commitment to conservation, our hunting heritage and community within SADC. The passion and friendliness of the Zambian government that co-hosted us with SCIF contributed to a culture of collaboration and support that fostered new insights and resolve in taking our work forward to benefit people and wildlife.
