Newsletter October/November 2024

13 November 2024

Dear colleagues

Last month, I wrote that spring was in the air. However, the Western Cape is experiencing wet and cold weather while the central, northern, and eastern provinces are desperate for rain. Let’s hope that November will bring more favourable weather patterns.

NBCF and Congress

We held the NBCF and the Congress dinner on 1 November, followed by the congress on Saturday, 2 November. The proceedings were well run and successful.

Several awards were made at the congress dinner held at the CSIR International Convention Centre on 2 November 2024.

Dave Hayter was elected VP Hunting Affairs for the next two years. Congratulations Dave. We wish you success with the tasks at hand during your term.

I have learned that some guests were not served a main course and/or dessert during the dinner. I sincerely apologise for this. Dorothy and I discussed it with the management of the CSIR conference centre, and we assure you it will not happen again.

Follow the link for the awards at the Congress dinner:

Kind regards
Fred Camphor
