YOUR INTERESTS - OUR FOCUS

HuntEx is our international consumer exhibition catering for hunters, sportshooters, game ranch owners, people with personal and defensive protection requirements, outdoorsmen, anglers, security, and trade professionals.

The Beginning of HuntEx

Huntex, an important part of the Association’s commercial interests, is an international trade expo, catering for hunters, sportshooters, game farm owners, people with personal and defensive protection requirements, outdoorsmen, anglers, security and trade professionals. It is the largest showcase for hunting and related industries in southern Africa. The first Huntex was held at the Gallagher Conference Centre in Midrand in April 2011 after the hunter festival that started in 2010 at Inyathi Park became too big to host there. The Association’s member database was used to invite visitors to the new expo. It was a huge success in terms of participation by both exhibitors and visitors, as well as financially. Huntex is held annually and has grown into one of the largest expos in the country, organized by the company SA Hunt Expos (Pty) Ltd, in which the Association and Adriaan Woudstra each hold 50% of the shares.

Networking

Provincial representatives of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) joined the department’s stand at HuntEx23 to respond to questions about hunting regulations and the wildlife economy. New entrants to the wildlife economy exhibited at the DFFE stand to experience business opportunities in the wildlife sector.

Mnre.
