Firearm Licence Helpline

Legal firearm ownership is one of the main focus areas of SA Hunters. The Association provides a comprehensive support service to its members to ensure that they always act within the confines of the firearms legislation, whether they are hunters or sport shooters. SA Hunters has a dedicated firearms help desk to answer questions and assist with training requirements; applications for competency certificates, firearm licences, renewals and endorsements; storage permits; and temporary import/export permits.

Visit the Application Process for Firearm Licences page for everything you need to know about legal firearm ownership.

SA Hunters offers accredited hunting packages

SA Hunters wishes to remind members of our accredited hunting packages, by members for members, under the auspices of the association. Fraud is common in the offering of hunting packages in our industry. Every year, many hunters have fallen victim to con artists on social media. To protect the interests of hunters and landowners, SAHGCA launched the SA Hunters accredited hunting destination project.

If you are a paid-up member of SA Hunters and own a hunting destination with game available for hunting, contact Boetie Kirchner at boetiek@sahunt.co.za for more information.
