Huntex, an important part of the Association’s commercial interests, is an international trade expo, catering for hunters, sportshooters, game farm owners, people with personal and defensive protection requirements, outdoorsmen, anglers, security and trade professionals. It is the largest showcase for hunting and related industries in southern Africa. The first Huntex was held at the Gallagher Conference Centre in Midrand in April 2011 after the hunter festival that started in 2010 at Inyathi Park became too big to host there. The Association’s member database was used to invite visitors to the new expo. It was a huge success in terms of participation by both exhibitors and visitors, as well as financially. Huntex is held annually and has grown into one of the largest expos in the country, organized by the company SA Hunt Expos (Pty) Ltd, in which the Association and Adriaan Woudstra each hold 50% of the shares.
HuntEx is our international consumer exhibition catering for hunters, sportshooters, game ranch owners, people with personal and defensive protection requirements, outdoorsmen, anglers, security and trade professionals.
