Why does SA Hunters offer photography as an activity?
SA Hunters promotes and stimulates an active outdoor lifestyle. While capturing our experiences with photography, it plays a fundamental role in creating awareness about nature and conservation. It is also a way of sharing with others what is worth protecting. We offer members of all ages the opportunity to share their photographs, improve their skills, and compete in photographic challenges.
Hoekom bied SA Jagters fotografie aan as ʼn aktiwiteit?
SA Jagters bevorder en moedig buitelugaktiwiteite aan waaraan almal kan deelneem. Terwyl ons foto’s neem, word ons blootgestel aan die natuur en bewaring. Dit is ook ʼn manier om ons ervarings met ander te deel, veral die aspekte in die natuur wat ons moet bewaar. What’s the SA Hunters’ Amateur Photography Competition all about?
The aim of the competition is to expand the photographic portfolio of the Association. By entering the SA Hunters photo competition, members give SA Hunters permission to use their photographs across a wide variety of platforms. Members will always receive acknowledgment for the use of their photographs.
The competition runs over a 12-month period after which SA Hunters announces the winning photographer and winning photograph of the year.

Who may enter the SA Hunters Amateur Photography Competition?
Only fully paid-up members of SA Hunters may enter the photo competition. Family members (spouse and children under 18) can join the Association using the family membership category at a reduced rate.

What is the SA Hunters Photography Club all about?
The SA Hunters Photography Club aims to promote nature and wildlife photography among its members. It is open to all members of the SA Hunters and Game Conservation Association, their friends and family that share the same values of the Association. The club uses Facebook to interact with and encourage members to participate in regular photo challenges and competitions.

What is the SA Hunters Photography Club photo challenge about?
Every two months the Photography Club announces a new photo challenge. We cover a variety of topics during the year. The admin group will choose the top photographs at the end of the challenge and the members vote for the winning image.

Who may participate in the SA Hunters Photograph Club photo challenge?
All members of the group may enter the challenge but may only submit photographs that they have taken themselves. Group members may not enter photographs on behalf of someone else. The only exception is for young photographers under the age of 16 whose parents/guardians may submit entries accompanied by a short statement to explain that the entry is on the behalf of the youngster.
Wie mag deelneem aan die SA Jagters Fotografieklub se foto-uitdaging?
Alle lede van die groep mag aan die foto-uitdaging deelneem op voorwaarde dat hulle slegs foto’s mag instuur wat hulleself geneem het. Groeplede mag nie ʼn foto namens iemand instuur nie. Die enigste uitsondering is vir jong fotograwe onder 16-jaar wie se ouers/voog die inskrywing mag instuur met ʼn kort verduideliking wat die omstandighede verduidelik.
May I enter smart phone photographs?
Yes, smart phone and smart device photographs are welcome in the SA Hunters Amateur Photographic Competition (see the categories in the rules section).
Smart phone/device photographs are also accepted as valid entries in all the SA Hunters Photography Club photo challenges.
Mag ek slimfoonfoto’s instuur?
