Taknuus   Branch News

Algemeen

Juniorkamp
Die juniorkamp was 'n groot sukses.

Skins dag in 2019: Springbok-tak se ‘Skins’ skietdag vind op 2 Maart 2019 plaas. Inskrywingsvorms is reeds by Ronel beskikbaar.

General
October is nearly over. All around us nature is preparing for summer. It rained in the Cape and the snow decorated the mountain peaks.
Humans and animals are grateful for the rain that has fallen, but it is still very dry in many parts of the country. We hope it rains soon in these areas.
The destruction and neglect of our environment are visible everywhere. Water resources are polluted and fish are dying in our rivers, such as the recent case in the Vaal river. For us as hunters that respect nature, this is indeed a sad state of affairs.

Our branch's year-end function will coincide with the member meeting on 1 November. A finger supper will be served.

Shooting team
Our shooting team is getting stronger and better. Congratulations to our juniors that participated in the training sessions. Thanks to Jors and his team that did so well at the National President Shooting event at Kroonstad.

Conservation
Our conservation projects in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, are going well.

Training
Training is provided at the shooting range. Get in touch with Ronel at the branch office for more information about training for range officers, dedicated hunter and sport shooter status.

Junior camp
The junior camp was a huge success. Thanks to Keagon and Maccie for their input.

Shooting affairs
Shooting days are held on the first Saturday of the month and member evenings are held on the first Thursday of each month. We hope to see you all there. Day fees are R100 for senior shottists and R30 for juniors.

Skins day in 2019:  Springbok Branch's annual Skins day will take place on 2 March 2019. Tickets are available from Ronel.
